 Неожиданно для себя и своих учителей Андрей Потапов, студент третьего курса Бурятского республиканского индустриального техникума, занял первое место на межрегиональной олимпиаде по профессии "сварщик". Соревнования проходили 21 - 22 апреля в городе Краснокаменске Забайкальского края. Здесь участвовали 25 молодых сварщиков из 13 городов России. Среди них читинцы и иркутяне.

 Судьи проверяли не только качество работы или соблюдение технических требований, но и соблюдение правил безопасности, выполнение сложных операций, скорость. Участникам пришлось работать над сваркой регистра – трубы, предназначенной для отопления. Качественно выполнить эту работу из 25 человек удалось только трем, Андрей также вошел в тройку.

- Когда регистры поставили под давление, испытывая на герметичность, всего три из них не потекли, - заметила Наталья Захожева, мастер производственного обучения.

После практического задания студентам пришлось выполнить еще и теоретическое. Андрей даже сам удивился - молодой человек ушел от своих соперников очень далеко. Молодому человеку подарили набор рабочих инструментов.

17-летний Андрей уже полгода проходит практику на ОАО "Улан-Удэстальмост". Он варит балки для моста, который установят в Сочи к 2014 году.

- Я понимаю, что на мне лежит большая ответственность за качество работы, но, слава богу, на заводе идет жесткий контроль, - говорит студент.

К тому же новичку помогают рабочие завода, кое-где подсказывают. Андрей признает, что работать сварщиком физически очень сложно. Студент работает как с автоматической, так и с ручной сваркой. Последнее время работа со сваркой стала надоедать Андрею, и он подумывает поступить на инженера.

- Хочется что-то создавать самому, - объясняет свой выбор будущей профессии студент.

Педагоги отмечают, что Андрей - способный мальчик, он хорошо разбирается в математических науках, спокойный и сдержанный.
